Review Week #3

What is OSHA? What do the letters stand for?
OSHA stands for Occupational Safety & Health Administration. Their goal is to promote safe work environments and prevent job injuries, illnesses, and death. They enforce safety laws, try to teach people how to be safe at their workplace, and volunteer and cooperate with other organizations to ensure health. (http://www.allaboutosha.com/what-is-osha)

How can graphic designers effectively communicate? In your own words, explain the communication process.
To communicate effectively, one must be able to incorporate the needs of the client, along with making it their own clever, unique, and creative design. Use appropriate colors, and be informative while still reaching the desired audience.

Understanding the history, culture and movements of fine and graphic arts will make you a better producer of visual messages. Why?
If you know what has been done before, then you won't create something that is boring and non-eye-popping. With that being said, you will however have a better understanding of what appeals to certain audiences, and know how to grasp attention.
